Landscaping with a lap pool
Calm and Relaxation Mont Royal
This urban landscaping project was designed to transform a residential courtyard into a truly intimate and lush relaxation space. The objective was clear: to soften the formal lines of the residence to create a more natural, fluid, and enveloping garden.
The central element of the project is the integration of a 50-foot lap pool, optimized within a limited lateral space. This approach not only allows for competitive swimming but also maximizes the use of every available square meter.
Around the pool, contemporary materials such as paving stones, natural stone, and wood blend harmoniously with dense, structured plantings. The choice of plants fosters an intimate atmosphere while providing effective visual privacy in an urban setting.
Architectural and landscape lighting plays a key role in the experience of the place, highlighting textures, volumes and circulation, while extending the use of the space into the evening.
This project illustrates an approach where design, functionality and well-being coexist, creating an environment conducive to relaxation… without compromising on performance.
