St-Germain Longueuil
Un paysage contemporain au service de l'architecture
The St-Germain Longueuil project exemplifies an approach where landscaping becomes a true extension of contemporary architecture. Designed to complement a high-quality industrial complex, the landscape highlights the building's clean lines while creating a distinctive and sustainable environment.
The concept is structured around a large reflecting pool that visually extends the architecture and accentuates the interplay of light. The water's reflections enhance the elegance of the built volumes, while the plantings evolve with the seasons.
Large masses of ornamental grasses bring movement, texture, and lightness. Their changing colors throughout the year enliven the site and reduce maintenance needs while promoting harmonious integration into the landscape.
The clean lines, mineral materials, and landscaping create a strong identity, visible from the highway. The overall effect enhances the company's corporate image while providing a high-quality outdoor environment.
This project demonstrates that industrial landscaping can become an iconic element of architectural identity when it is conceived within a comprehensive vision of the site.
